In the heart of Tenkasi, a district where over half a million  women spend their lives tethered to the tobacco industry, a quiet revolution is taking shape. For decades, these hands have done nothing but roll beedis—inhaling dust, enduring physical toll, and earning pennies in the shadows.

Today, we celebrate the first 55. These are the pioneers we have successfully transitioned from the hazardous tobacco trade into the sacred art of terracotta. Each piece of jewelry you wear is a hand-sculpted testament to their escape. By trading the tobacco leaf for the healing red clay of the Indian soil, these 55 women are no longer laborers of the smoke; they are master artisans of the earth. Wear their victory.
