This saree is an amalgamation of 2 styles from the land of Kutch - Ajrakh which involves a multistep Block Printing technique with mineral based and natural pigments. Bandhni on the other hand is a resist dyeing technique that involves pinching and tying small sections for the fabric and dipping it in dye!
This beautiful saree is first worked on with one textile art form before being passed to the next set of karigars for the other work. The result of this labor of love is a saree that truly reflects the amazing capabilities and creativity offered by both these indigenous art forms!
This drape is set in bandhni body in a vivid shade with Ajrakh Pallu set in a deep palette characteristic of this art.
The saree is ready to wear with falls and pico done. An unstitched Ajrakh blouse fabric is included.
*Note: There may be minor variations in the shade, the texture of the product. Hues/textures show differently based on ambient lighting, gadget settings, etc. *Note : This is a fully handmade saree and may be subject to slight irregularities such as slight smudges, dye marks and minor asymmetry in block print.
