Item: Modal Silk Saree with Authentic Bandhini and Ajrakh hand block print
This saree is an amalgamation of 2 styles from the land of Kutch - authentic Bandhini on body with a lovely ajrakh pallu on soft and silky modal silk fabric. Modal silk is a plant derived silk, is breathable and has a mild sheen.
The saree is first resist dyed in Bandhini style with hundreds of grains tied to the saree to create this dyeing pattern. Then its stamped with Ajrakh blocks on the Pallu and border area. Ajrakh is one of the oldest fabric printing techniques in the world and involved a very elaborate multi step process.
This saree will be roll pressed and ready to wear with fall and pico done. An unstitched blouse fabric is included.
