Kanchipuram Silk Saree Often called the queen of silks', Kanjeevaram is deeply rooted in mythology, history, and tradition. Legend has it that Lord Shiva chose Sage Markandeya to weave fabrics for the Gods and humans and it is his descendants who later settled in this holy town.
